Marthe DUGARD (B)

Comédienne belge.
Marthe Dugard a fait ses débuts de comédienne de théâtre amateur à 16 ans, mais c'est seulement après le décès de son mari qu'elle entame une carrière professionelle. Elle est engagé au Théâtre du Parc durant la saison 1937-1938 mais le théâtre doit fermer ses portes sous l'Occupation. Elle fonde alors les Galas Marthe Dugard.
Elle se fait connaître dans toute l'Europe pour son interptrétation de "]eanne au bûcher" dont elle créera la version lyrique à La Monnaie en 1952.
On la retrouve aussi dans de nombreuses dramatiques télévisées.
Renversée par un cycliste, elle est décédée des suites de cet accident.
