André GEVREY (B)
(1913, Boussu - 1993)
Comédien, réalisateur TV, documentaliste du théâtre belge.
Acteur dès son plus jeune âge, André Gevrey est engagé en 1931 comme acteur-lecteur à l' I.N.R. - Institut National Belge de Radiodiffusion. Durant l'occupation, il fait partie, pendant cinq ans, de la troupe du Théatre Royal du Parc. Puis, joue trois saisons avec le Théâtre de Lausanne.
De retour en Belgique, il participe de 1947 à 1953 à l'aventure du Théâtre National. En 1952, tout en poursuivant son métier d'acteurs de théâtre, il passe derrière la caméra, et devient le premier réalisateur à la télévision.
André Gevrey a également consacré 25 ans de sa carrière au théâtre dialectal wallon.

Il a interprété le rôle de l'inspecteur Malaise, créé par Stanislas-André Steeman, dans une série policière intitulée " Télé-Mystères ".
