Colette Emmanuelle a connu une longue carrière au théâtre, que la maladie l’avait empêché de poursuivre. Comme actrice, elle a joué dans plusieurs films belges, incarnant notamment Anne d’Autriche dans «Le Roi Danse» de Gérard Corbiau en 2000.

Au théâtre, elle avait fait ses débuts au Rideau de Bruxelles avant d’entreprendre un parcours en Belgique et en France auprès de Benno Besson, Alfred Radok, Ottomar Krejcwa, Henri Ronse, Armand Delcampe, Philippe Sireuil, Daniel Hanssens, Nathalie Uffner, etc.

Elle a reçu le prix «Eve du théâtre» en 1975 pour son interprétation de la pièce d’Arthur Miller «La création du monde», mise en scène par Walter Tielemans.

Colette Emmanuelle était l’épouse de Jean Lefébure, ancien directeur-fondateur du Théâtre du Parvis.

Fille du sculpteur-maître orfèvre Henri Holemans, Colette Emmanuelle était une des premières diplômées de l’Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD).

Elle décède en septembre 2021.
