Denyse PERIEZ (B)

Comédienne, metteure en scène et adaptatrice belge.
Denyse Periez, née Denise Carnewal, est liée à l'histoire du Rideau de Bruxelles. Epouse de Claude Etienne depuis 1944, membre fondatrice du Rideau, elle a fait partie de la troupe de ce théâtre dès le troisième spectacle et pendant plus de 50 ans, tout en assumant aussi des responsabilités administratives. Elle a interprété une centaine de rôles dans le répertoire classique et contemporain, au Rideau mais aussi sur d'autres scènes. Entre 1963 et 1970, elle a signé la mise en scène de plusieurs spectacles du Rideau. Elle a traduit et adapté en langue française de très nombreuses pièces du répertoire anglo-saxon contemporain pour le Rideau de Bruxelles, mais aussi pour d'autres théâtres.
Formation
Elève de Georges Génicot et d'André Gobert au Théâtre du Parc.
Prix et distinctions
Eve du Théâtre pour "La grande épreuve" de Philip King (1958).
Au cinéma
Elle a joué aux côtés d'Annie Girardot dans "Bobo Jacco" de Walter Ball (1979)
